WEDDING PLANNING STRESS BOOK
WEDDING PLANNING STRESS BOOK
Yes? Then you’re in the right place.
Blissful Wedding Planning: Becoming a Stoic Bride is THE book written solely for the purpose of making your wedding planning less stressful.
It’s different to other Wedding Planning Books
This book won’t tell you how to do a seating plan, it won’t be giving you money saving tips and it won’t be teaching you who makes the cut as a day guest.
This is a Wedding Planning Book with a difference.
This book teaches you how to actually change your perception towards your wedding planning itself.
Believe it or not, after reading this book, and adopting the easy-to-learn “mindset tweak” you’ll be left wondering what all the fuss was about.
Stress-free Wedding Planning, What’s the Catch?
Well the “catch” is you’ve either got to read a book that’s 250-odd pages.
Or you’ve got to listen on Audible to my dulcet tones for the best part of 6-hours.
Your wedding day is, potentially, the happiest day of your life. You’ve arranged for it to take place on a Saturday in July, when the weather is nearly always tremendous.
This gives you the confidence that you will have glorious sunshine and perfect light all day, especially for the all-important photos around the grounds of your luxury wedding venue.
On Friday night, the forecast for the following day is perfect and, glancing out of the window just before you go to sleep, you can see there isn’t a cloud in the sky.
Then the next morning you awake to a thunderstorm and the weather forecast saying there is a 100% chance of rain all day.
This isn’t bad – this is dreadful, right?
Remember that it is so much more beneficial for us to think of things in terms of things being helpful or unhelpful, as opposed to right or wrong.
Is it helpful for it to be hammering it down on your wedding day?
No. Is it terminal for your wedding day?
Only if it is so bad that the wedding is cancelled by the venue; otherwise no, unless you decide to make it terminal.
Here’s where your preparation comes into play.
Ok, So How do I cope with wedding planning stress?
Blissful Wedding Planning combines my knowledge of performing at hundreds of weddings, my training and experience as a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist and what I’ve learnt from Stoic Philosophy.
If you’re wondering what weddings and philosophy have got in common then don’t worry, everyone else reading is thinking the same thing.
In short, Stoic philosophy asks us to only concern ourselves with the things which are directly within our control; anything else should be disregarded, as there’s literally nothing we can do about it.
It also asks us to think of our time on this earth as a fleeting thing (in the grand scheme of things.) And as such we should be grateful for absolutely everything.
Looking forward to implementing new knowledge to help my fiancé and I have a relaxed wedding, just as we both envision. I am determined not to stress him or myself throughout this process because it is the most exciting thing that’s ever happened in my life.

How to get rid of Wedding Planning stress
Through a simple change of mindset, this book will teach you to be a Stoic bride.
As a Stoic bride you will:
- Take nothing for granted.
- Feel prepared for failure and ready for success.
- Accept and not worry about what you cannot control.
- Accept other people’s opinions don’t need to affect you.
- Permit yourself to trust in your decisions.
- Recognise obstacles as opportunities and make the most out of them.
- Know getting upset due to an unhelpful situation will get you nowhere.
- Treat yourself as you would your best friend.
- Understand the importance of emotions and how vital it is to own them.
- Take time to process all your emotions before making important decisions.
- Remember that you are human.
- Own both your successes and her failures.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR (AND WHY I WROTE THE BOOK)
Blissful Wedding Planning: Becoming a Stoic Bride is written by me – Chris Piercy.
I’m a professional wedding magician, former cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist, lover of Stoic Philosophy, wedding blogger, podcaster, author (obviously), father of two girls and someone who puts too many things on lists like this.
I’ve performed at several hundred weddings, which means I’ve dealt with potentially over a thousand brides.
From meeting them at wedding fairs, dropping-emails to-and-fro and talking on the phone to brides three things became clear.
1. Organising a wedding isn’t easy (well duh!)
2. A huge percentage of you brides felt stressed about wedding planning.
3. There wasn’t a resource for dealing with wedding stress (Other than a few blogs.)
As I’m actually qualified to talk on the subject of curing stress I was originally going to write another blog on the topic of how to deal with wedding planning stress.
But once that “blog” had reached 2,000 words…..
……and I had SO much more to say…..
I realised that to fully cover everything I wanted to say about coping with wedding stress I’d need to write something much bigger.
3 months and 50,000(ish) words later the first draft was complete.
Fast forward another 2 months and Blissful Wedding Planning was published.
Since then the positive feedback and reviews have made me realise just how important it was to write this book. I look forward to hearing about your own success of implementing what the book teaches you.
More readers and listeners who LOVE Blissful Wedding Planning!
A brilliant book: helpful, healing, humorous.
Like no other wedding planning book I’ve seen!
If you’re getting married this is a must have
I’m not a bride-to-be but had this recommended due to its content being super helpful for anxiety and other MH conditions.
I went in, open-mindedly, thinking, “How can a wedding book help me?”
But honestly, I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to read this book!
Not only is the tone really easy to get into, relatable and fun, the content is packed full of ‘mic-drop’ moments, great mental excercises and periods of reflection that get you thinking about your approach.
I’ve already implemented some of the techniques Chris has included, successfully so!
Looking forward to reading through a few more times and squeezing every last drop of wisdom from its pages!
I highly recommend this, not just for brides (it’s a brilliant book for those planning a wedding!) But for those who have inner struggles and need something inspiring.
A true example of don’t judge a book by its cover! A wedding planning must have and SO much more 🙂
This book instils the concept of stoicism and it’s positive effects on life and, indeed, it’s effect on your wedding day. If something goes ‘wrong’ (or not to plan – there is a difference) then this book enables you to be more informed about how to deal with it and how to view it moving forward.
This is a must for any bride and groom. In fact, take away the references to weddings and this book is for almost everyone in daily life.
I honestly can’t fully put into words how much this book has changed my view on things!
I’m not getting married but was recommended this book by someone due to suffering with anxiety and I can’t believe how much it has helped me.
I feel more positive, happier about things and that panic and anxiousness that builds is now a slight dull rather then a blinding takeover!
I highly recommend giving this a go.. I was sceptical but I’m so so glad I listened and took the time to take it all in!
The Final BIG Secret
Although this book is called Blissful Wedding Planning it can actually help you well beyond the day you get married.
The book is all about a change in your mindset towards life, problems and scenarios.
You’ll learn new ways to process information and as a result respond in a more positive and productive way.
You will start seeing the possibilities which are open to you when something “bad” happens, making the best out of every and any situation life throws at you.
Doesn’t that sound like a great way to live your life?
Blissful Wedding Planning is available as a Paperback, Kindle or on Audible.
